How can I convince my friends parent that I was kidding?

I was on Facebook, and my friend was telling me that he was grounded. I joked ';Did your parents find your drugs?'; but his parent, said that I was on drugs. It was a simple joke, Can you please help me convince him that I was kidding?How can I convince my friends parent that I was kidding?

Go over and apologize. Let them know that you realize it was immature of you to make such a statement, and that you have no reason to think their son/daughter has ever taken drugs. Assure them that you also have not used drugs and have no interest in them. Most likely the parents made the comment about you being on drugs in defense of themselves as parents and their child.
Was his parent actually serious? They could have been joking too... but I'm sure that by just having a conversation with them explaining that you were just kidding around will solve the problem. If not, you can always get your parents to talk to your friend's parents and try to fix the issue :)
write a short note explaining how long you've known your friend and the character of her/him. apologize for ever writing that on facebook and apologize to your friend also. say you have learned a great lesson.
