How many nights a week can my boyfriend stay if i am on lone parent benefit?

I need to know what the policy is for having a partner/boyfriend stay overnight as i do not want to get into trouble or have my benefit stopped for allowing him to stay too much. I have tried to look on the benefits website but there seems to be no information about this. I have been told there was a 3 day policy and i have also been told that partners /boyfriends are not allowed to stay at all, now i am confused!!!!!!!!!!How many nights a week can my boyfriend stay if i am on lone parent benefit?
Is there an email address listed on the benefits site where you could contact someone and ask this question? I believe that the main reason for this policy is that if you are receiving a lone parent benefit, then you can't be receiving help with expenses from another source, such as a partner or live-in boyfriend or even a roommate. In order to avoid people claiming lone parent status when they are receiving other income, they institute a policy that says that a boyfriend/partner can't stay more than XX days overnight per week, i.e. they don't live there with you. I applaud you for wanting to obey the rules set down by the policy and I'm sure that the institution giving you this benefit will be pleased as well. The bottom line is that your boyfriend is not giving you money to help with any expenses. As long as that is the case, I would assume that the institution would be a bit more lenient with you about the number of days/consecutive days he stays overnight. How many nights a week can my boyfriend stay if i am on lone parent benefit?
The typical legal definition is a person who stays for more than three CONSECUTIVE nights.

But I wouldnt try pushing that...
3 nights a week and make sure he as a valid home address and do not have mail delivered to your house addressed to him, ensure he is also on the electoral roll at any address apart from yours. the three day policy is not actual law but a guidline that the DWP adhere to and cannot actually be relied on as fact it will as always depend on your actual circumstances. if you boyfriend as his own house you go to his on alternate weeks.

take no notice re the advice given go to the citizens advice bureau or social welfare they will not give advice on this matter as it may conflict with goverment guidlines and they would not want to get involved,
3 nights a week is the usual, but if your really worried about it then only allow him for one night to stay
to the above answerer?

what? sunday doesnt count? - ';free day'; ?
3 nights if more then you hav eto notify the agency
and why should he beable to stay at all i can be doing with people who sponge of benefit and he probably on the dole 2 get a life
I have been led to understand that they can stay two nights then a break of three nights. ie stay Tue Wed, go home Thur, Fri Sat, come back Sun, Mon, go Tue, Wed, Thur, stay Fri, Sat, go Sun, Mon, Tue.
This cropped up as a situation with two of my friends - also my partner is a Welfare rights officer and I'm afraid to say that whilst it used to be 3 it is now 0. Contact your local CAB to confirm your own situation.
it is 3 consecutive night but there is other rules - 1. he is not allowed to be seen carrying in your shopping bags, 2. you are not allowed to go to a wedding together. There is a few other rules but they don't tell you then, they just try and catch you out.
as far as i know its 3 nights im sure if you contact citizens advice or soial welfare they will be able to claify this for you.
3 working days not including sunday as it a free day
