What would you do as a parent in this case?

Say your son/daughter bought a yearbook at school (2nd grade) Just before going home, your son/daughter's friend asks to borrow the book. The friend says they'll return it the next day but never does. Even after contacting /visiting the school to try to get the book back, the child still doesn't get the book back. They said that they ';called the parents'; of your child's friend.

Do you think the school should try to do more to help?

What else could you do to try to get the book back? What would you do as a parent in this case?
That's called theft. The school has nothing to do with that. Your best bet is to call that little bastard's parents and try and get it back that way. Otherwise you pretty much are outta luck. What would you do as a parent in this case?
Just tell the teacher about it.

This is a minor thing don't blow it out of proportion and get the school involved.

The teacher knows the carer's of that child and should help you with your enquiries.
Go the kids house when the parents are home and have the children involved ';discuss the situation'; and what the other parents say. If they don't step up, forbid my kid to associate with the kid.
It'll be up to you to contact the child's parent. It's your property and not school property.
The school can always call the police to catch this theft.

Get this problem online and tell the public.
