Is it right for a parent to put porn blocks on the computer?

My dad put porn blocks on my computer. My question is, is it right for him to do this, would he rather me have real sex than to just please myself?Is it right for a parent to put porn blocks on the computer?

You don't mention your age - that's a big factor in the answers. Legally, he could still be responsible for you, including access to porn like child pron, which is 100% illegal. He does not want to go to jail for giving you internet for potentially accessing child porn, so he puts the controls on your system if you are under 18 (in most jurisdictions anyway....)


It's all technicalities really, but if your dad gave a 12 year old a loaded gun, and that kid robbed a store, who do you think the cops would come after?? (Hint - the dad....)

Porn is ruining peoples' lives, left and right. I'm in my late 20s, female, and I used to watch a lot before I got married. I didn't realize what a huge problem it was back then.





It is ruining the lives of the people starring in these films. I read somewhere that over 95% of people working in that industry have or have had some form of STD. That's almost ALL. I'm guessing the other 5% accounts for people who've just started out. It is hard on their bodies, too. If you want to see something nasty, look up ';vaginal prolapse'; or ';rectal prolapse';. This is what happens, over time, when those orifices become overused. No lie. Women, especially, can only do porn for a short amount of time..... they have a small timeframe to make a decent amount of money. This money is not going to last them long. And then what?? Also, many of these people are on drugs.





SECOND, it ruins the lives of many people watching it. A lot of people do not know when to stop. Google ';porn addiction'; to see how prevalent the problem is. It is wrecking marriages. Some people actually CAN NOT stop.





The industry does not care about the people making it or watching, though. Because THEY are making MONEY. It's sad that they are using/abuing people making it and using the people who watch it. It's bad stuff.





Look up Shelley Lubbens or the Pink Cross Foundation to get more of a real idea on what this stuff is doing to people. It's really a huge societal problem.
Usually, your dad will put this sort of thing on because it would freak him out if you were. If you found out your kid was watching porn, it would be so weird. my suggestion is don't talk to him about it, or anything. the best thing to do is to use google images, or a lesser known site such as spankwire or something that wont be blocked. you could also try proxy servers.
