How can I tell my parent's I'm depressed and need help?

I keep telling them I feel depressed and melancholy, but they keep ignoring me as usual. Any tips on how to make myself feel better? I was addicted to my prescribed Percocet and Valium recently, but I ran out and that's what was keeping me temporarily ';happy.'; Any tips for now?How can I tell my parent's I'm depressed and need help?
Unfortunately, many parents believe that children saying that they are depressed are trying to get attention. You should probably tell your parents that you are addicted to your medication. Its important to sit them down and make sure that you have their full attention. Don't come up to them when they are making dinner or on a call, you have to do it in an adult way otherwise they won't treat it like an adult problem. Also talk to your school councilor for tips on how to talk to your parents. How can I tell my parent's I'm depressed and need help?
Just tell them that you would like to speak with them and sit them down and tell them. (Parents) I am serious i know you may think this is not meaning full to you but i am feeling depressed and i would like to talk to a doctor about this so i can ge the help i need. I do not want to get worse. I would like to be happy but something is wrong to where i just cant be happy. PLease let me see my doctor so i can get the help i need. if they do not hear you next time you get a cold or not feeling well tell the doctor.

The best way to make yourself feel better is to be with friends talk with the ones you can trust the most. Do things with them do not coupe yourself up in your room go outside see the world. Maybe pray to Jesus to help you feel better you may not belive him dont know but if you give him a try and give a little faith he will help you out. hope all goes well.
what are you depressed about?

You need to eat right and get out and exercise and get in to a church youth group.

U need to have some interaction with good people and have some fun.

Life is too short to take pills to be happy.

There is something natural at the health food store that is for depression. It is called rescue remedy and it works great. But no side effects. It can be taken every 15 minutes if you need it. no over dosing.

It is 4 drops under the tongue and hold it there for a few seconds then swallow.
I had a very similar problem though I never used medication to help it. My savior was going to a therapist. It took a while to find one that really did a good job at making me feel better. The best advice I was ever given on my depression was ';Think of all the positive things about you. And if you can't think of any then the first thing you should think of is how humble you are. Remember, only you can really know what's good about you.';
Go see a doctor. Depression is a medical condition caused by chemical imbalances in the brain, and needs to be treated with medication. If your parents won't take you, and you are under 18, wait until a routine check-up and just tell the doc yourself there. If you are over 18, you have a legal right to go yourself. Don't wait too long it will cause all sorts of problems. Trust me.
Don't go to your parents go to a school counselor but since its summer I don't think that's possible at the moment. I would say sit them down and talk to them seriously that you have a problem and need help. If that doesn't work then I would suggest looking up way of getting rid of depression without pills and a therapists help but through relaxation.
Oh Lord I pray for this child.

I dont know your parents, but right now just focus on YOU.

Try doing things that make you happy. Something positive to relieve stress of feelings bottled up like talking about how you feel, or any interest that you have. Or try something new. I know new things can make life interesting. You may focus on new things and over time come to enjoy it. I know im not helping much. I hope you find the answers you need.

God bless you and your home
Don't depend on drugs to make you happy. It's just a depression stage you're going through, talk to someone! A friend, school counselor, teacher, someone in your family, then ask them to get you help or talk to your parents for you if you don't want to.
maybe we can talk. i have the same problem, i feel depressed, and my parents ignored me and im looking for a human i can talk to who knows how i feel. plese e-mail me

dont take anti-deppresant drugs. Go and speak to a therapist to resolve your anxiety. I once felt incredibly depressed and my therapist talked me through it and now im better.(no drugs)
