scamming someone perhaps?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!If a parent opens a savings acout for their child to be helpful does the parent need the childs signature?
if it is a minor then no. At the bank I worked at the minor was not needed to open a minor account, however the parents signed. In fact, typically the minor is listed as a non-signer. In most situations a true minor account is only accesible by the parents not the child. To change that the parents have to change the account to allow the child to have access.
I find it unlikely that a minor account would be opened for an adult.
No
The child's signature is required if the child will be able to withdraw funds, or if the child's social security number is used.
Listen people, I worked in banks for years, I know this stuff.
ANY person can open an account ';In Trust'; for a different person, minor or not, without that person's signature. It merely means that party number two will get those funds when the account opener should die. The exception to this is if the child is allowed to withdraw funds, the bank must have a signature on file. If the child is taxed for the interest, the child must sign to agree to it.
I've worked at a bank for 20 years. Since the child is over 18, the child will need to have a signature on file; otherwise, the child will not be able to make any withdrawls. Also, with the Patriot Act, proof of identity is required for the new account as well. This is not true for children under 18.
lol no you dont...a lot of people start trust funds for there kids when they are just born soo they are way to young to give a signiture...and its the parents money that are going into the fund and you are in total control of the money until you hand the money over to the kids
Once you are over 18 you need to open your own bank accounts. You can't put an adult on a bank account without their social security number and their signature.
No you don't need the child's signature as long as you are the parent that opened it.
Without the childs signature they can;t have access to the account.
Its very helpful. But not neccessary/
dude you need to get a life...judging by the other questions you've asked, you sound like a creep to me.
If the child is an adult ..yes you need their signature..but if they are a minor NO!
Mr are you doing a job if don't put a question.
