What are the educational benefits one can recieve for a child who's parent is a deceased veteran?

Is there an age limit for the benefits and is there a website where I can get more info? What are the educational benefits one can recieve for a child who's parent is a deceased veteran?
There are certain conditions that qualify a spouse and children whose father was KIA, died of a service-connected disability after discharge, or is still alive but rated as 100% disabled. It's called Chapter 35, Dependents Educational Assistance (DEA), and also may qualify the dependents (spouse and minor children) for medical coverage under ChampVA. You should contact the Veterans Administration Service Officer nearest you (in the federal government section of your phone book) and make an appointment to see that person. Also, go to www.va.gov for the veterans administration website, and you'll find information on education benefits for dependents. You can also call 1-888-GI-BILL1 for more information. Good luck! What are the educational benefits one can recieve for a child who's parent is a deceased veteran?
Unless you father was killed while on active duty.

Or was declared 100% disabled while still on active duty.

There are no educational benefits for surviving children.
i don't think there are any. my grandfather was a verteran and he is dead, and i didn't get anything
Go straight to Children and Family Services..........Don't let the door hit you in the butt going out HURRY! and Good Luck!
i know veterans are eligible for the gi bill which pays for schooling not sure if it applies to family members but it doesn't hurt to look.
If you go to the VA they should be able to give you info and I think they will pay for so much of the college. I know they will give the spouse money for college I'm not sure much else.
The American Legion and VFW both have scholarships the child *may* be eligible for.
