If a parent gives legal guardianship to a family member will they still have rights to the child?

I have legal guardianship of my brother's child. He wants to put the child in daycare, that shouldnt be a problem if he's the legal father should it?If a parent gives legal guardianship to a family member will they still have rights to the child?
If his name is on the birth certificate then it should be fine. Technically if you have guardianship his parenting rights are suspended until the guardianship is revoked. He should not be able to put the child in day care because you are the guardian. If you don鈥檛 want him to put the child in daycare then it is your call. It doesn鈥檛 matter if he is the birth father or not. If a parent gives legal guardianship to a family member will they still have rights to the child?
the day care will want permission from the legal guardian. even though he is the father, you are the guardian and responsible for all decisions related to the child.
It shouldn't be a problem if you agree to it. As the legal guardian you know hae the final say on these things. In the eyes of the law you have complete responsibility of the child.
well you being the legal guardian means you have more power than the parent does you would have to be the one to put him in and sign all the papers
its up to you if you want to agree with putting the child into daycare..

ask him if hes willing to pay or pay half of the bill...

but only agree to it if you want to...
did he sign over all legal guardianship to you...that should answer the question...if yes, then he has no legal authority over the child.
Guardianships are temporary arrangements, that can be revoked at anytime, unless the parent signed away parental rights.
